Parents: Planning Vacations for 2018?

Parents and student-athletes:

When planning your vacations for the summer of 2018, please keep these things in mind:

1. The dead period is from July 1-7, 2018. That means that we cannot hold off-season workouts, camps, etc., and it would be a perfect time for a family vacation.

2. Football tryouts/practices can begin as soon as July 26, 2018, according to the Virginia High School League. James Wood is tentatively scheduled to begin practices on July 30, 2018. Please plan your summer vacations to be completed by July 29, if not earlier. We plan to start later in order to give families as much time as possible to enjoy their summers.
