Eighteen local players are set to play for the 37-member Valley Team against the Mountain Team in Saturday’s Coaches USA All-Star Series game at Bridgewater College, a free-admission contest for seniors which kicks off at 1 p.m.
Handley’s Jake Smith will be the head coach for the Valley, and his nine assistants include Sherando head coach T.J. Rohrbaugh, James Wood head coach Todd Wilson, and former Millbrook head coach and current Strasburg assistant coach Josh Haymore.
The participants are as follows:
Handley: tight end ZeQuon Williams, cornerback Amari Brown, running back Jamir Washington, linebacker Trent Gomez, safety Gavin Williams, linebacker JoJo Johnson, wide receiver Will Yoder, defensive lineman Carson Green, offensive lineman Jaiquan Offutt. Sherando: quarterback Jacob Henry, cornerback Donovan Blackwell, offensive lineman Jarrett See, defensive lineman Andrew Taylor. James Wood: wide receiver Kaden McCullough, defensive end Dominick Ramirez, offensive lineman Colton Knisley. Millbrook: linebacker Chris Bradford. Clarke County: defensive lineman Joseph Stem.
There will also be 10 local cheerleaders:
Handley: Zoë Feit, Maliyah Lincoln, Taryn Shutts, Cecilia Rivera. James Wood: August Bradford, Ashlyn Moon, Emma Allen. Clarke County: Eden DeGeorge, Emily Vincent. Sherando: Payton Cowden.
