Offense
Jake Lewin – James Wood – Junior – QB
Lewin led the area in completions (86 on 170 attempts), yards (1,050) and tied for the area lead in touchdown passes (eight, against seven interceptions). Lewin was an All-Northwestern District first-team selection.
Joseph Ojo – Sherando – Senior – RB
Ojo led the area in rushing yards (1,506 yards on 242 attempts, a 6.2 average), rushing touchdowns (19) and scoring (120 points). Ojo added six catches for 140 yards and a touchdown and was the Northwestern District Offensive Player of the Year.
Davey Hardesty – Clarke County – Junior – RB
Hardesty led the Eagles in rushing (746 yards on 124 attempts, a 6.0 average, adding 10 touchdowns) and receiving (23 catches for 403 yards and six touchdowns). Hardesty was an All-Bull Run District first team selection at utility back.
Boomer Kaczmarzewski – Millbrook – Senior – WR
Kaczmarzewski led the area in receptions (35), yards (601) and added four receiving touchdowns. Kaczmarzewski was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Chad Potter – James Wood – Senior – WR
Potter recorded 29 catches for 396 yards and three touchdowns for the Colonels. Potter was selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Mel Savarese – James Wood – Senior – TE
Savarese recorded 17 catches for 207 yards and two toucdowns for the Colonels. He was an All-Northwestern District first team selection.
A.J. Bolden – Millbrook – Junior – OT
Bolden – who was selected as one of the top 10 offensive linemen at the University of Michigan’s camp this summer – was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Tyler Whitmer – Sherando – Senior – OT
Whitmer helped pave the way for a Warriors offense that averaged an area-best 324.2 yards and 23.5 points per game this year. Whitmer was selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Jordan Dowrey – Handley – Sophomore – C
Dowrey led an offensive line that rushed for 274 yards against Millbrook and 226 against James Wood after older brother Derek moved from guard to running back. Dowrey was selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Derek Dowrey – Handley – Senior – OG
Dowrey did not finish the year at offensive line, but he helped mold an inexperienced group so they could peak at the end. Dowrey was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Hunter VanMeter – Sherando – Senior – OG
VanMeter provided blocking that helped Sherando achieve area-best numbers in both rushing (212.3) and passing (120.1) yards per game. VanMeter was selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Drew Paice – Clarke County – Senior – UT
Paice was a dual threat out of Clarke County’s single wing, passing for 701 yards and five touchdowns and rushing for 662 yards and six touchdowns. The Eagles quarterback was selected to the All-Bull Run District second team as a running back.
Defense
Derek Dowrey – Handley – Senior – DT
Dowrey led the Judges in tackles (107) and led the area in sacks (13.5). Dowrey, who has verbally committed to play at Penn State, was the Northwestern District Defensive Player of the Year.
DeAndre Johnson – Millbrook – Senior – DT
Johnson led the Pioneers in sacks (8.5) and tackles for loss (16.5), and he finished with 80 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Johnson was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Trevis Newman – Sherando – Senior – DE
Newman had 66 tackles, two sacks, seven tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. Newman was selected to the All-Northwestern District second team.
Chance Ramey – Clarke County – Senior – DE
Ramey led the Eagles with nine sacks, and he added 50 tackles and three forced fumbles. Ramey was selected to the All-Bull Run District first team.
Mark Bean – James Wood – Senior – LB
Bean led the Colonels with 91 tackles, and he added six tackles for loss, three interceptions and two pass breakups. Bean was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Aiden Lewis – Millbrook – Junior – LB
Lewis led the Pioneers with 107 tackles, and he added eight tackles for loss, two sacks and two pass breakups. He was selected to the All-Northwestern District second team.
Alex Sefton – Clarke County – Senior – LB
Sefton led the area with 148 tackles, and he added two interceptions, two pass breakups and three fumble recoveries. Sefton was the Bull Run District Defensive Player of the Year.
Dexter Sloane – Handley – Senior – LB
Sloane recorded 65 tackles and 10 sacks for the Judges. Sloane was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Reid Entsminger – Sherando – Sophomore – S
Entsminger recorded 71 tackles, four tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and 1.5 sacks. Entsminger was selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Daquanta Pannell – Handley – Senior – S
Pannell tied for the area lead with six interceptions and had 73 tackles and three defensive touchdowns. Pannell was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Jawaun Goynes – Handley – Senior – CB
Goynes tied for the area lead with six interceptions and had 40 tackles for the Judges. Goynes was selected to the All-Northwestern District second team.
Boomer Kaczmarzewski – Millbrook – Senior – CB
Kaczmarzewski tied for the area lead with six interceptions and had 76 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three pass breakups and two defensive touchdowns. Kaczmarzewski was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Chandler DeHaven – James Wood – Senior – PK
DeHaven broke the single-seasoon school record for field goal attempts, hitting 8 of 11 attempts with a long of 40 yards. DeHaven also made 19 of 23 points for a total of 43 points. DeHaven was selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Boomer Kaczmarzewski – Millbrook – Senior – P
Kaczmarzewski led the area in punting average (39.9) and accumulated 1,556 yards on 39 punts, with a long of 66 yards. He placed 17 punts inside the 20, with nine of those going inside the 10. Kaczmarzewski was unanimously selected to the All-Northwestern District first team.
Davey Hardesty – Clarke County – Junior – KR
Hardesty returned 13 kickoffs for 369 yards (a 28.4 average) and a touchdown and brought back six punts for 75 yards (a 12.5 average) for the Eagles.
